THIS! I read that last confession that justified the fan’s love of the movie without even seeing it, and that did not make sense AT ALL. The phrase DOES apply to positive thoughts as well. Everyone has fallen in love with Brave’s potential rather than for what it really is. Like I said before, the movie HAS potential of being good. But the movie could very well be a disappointment. It could have pace issues, the characters grow cumbersome, the story not make sense. Not saying that it WILL have these issues, but the movie could have them. We just don’t know. So it is indeed silly to declare the movie the absolute best movie ever just because it claims to be something worth seeing.

braveconfessions: I agree with this as well. I think Brave is going to be something special and unique in the Pixar canon. So far, the characters are fascinating, with Merida being one of the most interesting characters since Buzz and Woody first appeared in 1995. That being said, the Brave fandom is getting out of control. Declaring the other Disney Princesses to be worthless, saying that it is their all-time favorite movie without even seeing it and getting over-excited over the smallest details. I am planning on going to see Brave when I go to Walt Disney World in July, I may have to take a break from the fandom in order to keep the movie special for me.
